Three months after picking up a camera, Tristan found himself on a tour bus with a chart-topping country artist.

After spending much of undergrad skipping class to shoot on the road, he eventually landed in Nashville, Tennessee, during the pandemic where his directing career began with an outlandish pitch built around a simple idea: take the record label’s money and go do our own bucket list. :)

That project kicked off several years directing music videos for artists across the country. From 2020–2024, Tristan built his visual language around performance, personality, and working with talent—before shifting the focus of his production company toward commercial and branded work.

Since then, he has directed work for brands including Hardee’s, Jack Daniel’s, CVS, Nike, Pedigree, and more. His background directing artists and on-camera talent continues to shape the way he approaches commercial work: creating performances that feel natural, building trust quickly, and finding the human story inside a brand. His work spans sport, lifestyle, beverage, healthcare, celebrity, and performance—grounded by an instinct for good energy, authenticity, and people.

 

Outside of production, you’ll probably find Tristan training for a marathon with his wife, building his creative wellness brand Ruak, or attempting to perfect a flat white at home in an effort to stop going broke on $10 coffees.
